Description
‘Futility’ is another of Dave’s paintings, this one based on a sculpture of the same name by Jim Whelan, which in turn was based on Wilfred Owen’s poem of the same name and has been given Dave’s ‘white on black’ treatment. This version is on a black background with the detailing completed in white acrylic, the contrast provided by the crimson poppy flower.
Also available as open edition prints, personally signed by the artist.
It is an original acrylic on A3 220gsm canvas paper, unframed but mounted in a 18″ x 14″ white-cored black mount – which is a standard frame size, allowing ‘off the shelf’
