Description

‘Codename Umbrella’ depicts the famous events of the ‘Bridge too far’ in Arnhem.

Painted in Dave’s distinctive style of grey, gloomy skies, figures in silhouette and a splash of colour – in this instance the crimson of the poppy flowers and the brolly carried by Major Allison Digby Tatham-Warter DSO, the officer who famously couldn’t remember passwords and carried a brolly as it was something ‘no Jerry would do’.

This original acrylic on stretched canvas, 50cm x 40cm, is professionally framed with black canvas edging frame.

The price is inclusive of UK/BFPO P&P. We are happy to ship world-wide, however please contact us for a postage quote prior to purchasing.

All paintings purchases will be dispatched on the next working day by Royal Mail Special Delivery/parcel Force (depending on size).
