Original Oil Painting: ‘Theo, Dm 2011’ – Personalized Commemorative Portrait

‘Theo, DM 2011’ depicts a search team on the ground. Painted to commemmorate LCpl Liam Tasker and his spaniel search dog Theo. Liam was killed on patrol and Theo died later the same day – despite not having any obvious injury. It’s been said that the dog died of a broken heart after the untimely death of his young handler.

It is painted in his distinctive style of figures in silhouette and a splash of colour – in this instance the crimson of the poppy flower.

This original painting is acrylic and enamel on 30cm x 40cm board.
